Categorizing images[edit source]

Hey there, thank you for your help in uploading sprites of the weapons. Although this is greatly appreciated, I would warn you about categorizing images and adding the appropriate copyright option. So when uploading images from in-game, you will probably end up with one of those types of images: Sprites, Artworks, Screenshots. Simply add [[Category:<type>]] in the text box when uploading your files. That helps a lot! Next thing is even more important in my opinion, it's about copyright, when uploading stuff from in-game or the official website, simply select that option in the copyright dropdown. Don't worry, everyone have to learn about these things. Have a nice day and don't hesitate to reply with any questions you might have. Stay awesome! :) MannedTooth (talk) 17:28, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

Even on the FTB wiki where I've been editing for years, I still never remember to add categories, and other people have to add them after me. Retep998 (talk) 02:42, 31 October 2018 (UTC)
It's fine, don't worry too much about past edits, but try to keep it in mind for future ones. :P MannedTooth (talk) 15:25, 6 November 2018 (UTC)

Spritesheets[edit source]

Hey there, thank you for uploading those spritesheets and making the template to go with it. I want to let you know that we already have an extension that does just that, plus it will allow us to resize images if needed. I'll contact you back when it is enabled. I've never tried out the spritesheet extension yet. I'm only used to the tilesheet extension that the FTB wiki uses and that one has a few limitations that would make it unusable (such as tiles having to be squares). If it helps any, the information I'm getting from the game data for which icon to use is an index into that spritesheet interpreted as x=index%width_in_icons*icon_width and y=index/height_in_icons*icon_height, so whatever solution we end up using should make it easy to call the template if only the index is known. So it's correctly set up now, you can go on a spritesheet and click "Sprite Sheet" at the top of it as shown on the documentation. The rest should be pretty obvious to you. MannedTooth (talk) 15:25, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
